Craftsman Training Scheme

The Craftsman Training Scheme was introduce by government of India in 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skill workers in different trades for the domestic Industries, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the Industrial production by systematic training , to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable training , to cultivate and nurture a technical and industrial attitude in the minds of younger generation. The scheme, most important in the field of vocational training , has been shaping Craftsmen to meet the existing as well as future manpower need

APPRENTISHIP TRAINING SCHEME

Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted with the following objectives :-

 To regulate the programme of training of apprentices in the industry so as  to conform to the syllabi, period of training etc. as laid  down by  the  Central   Apprenticeship Council; and

 To utilise fully  the  facilities available in industry for imparting practical training with a view to  meeting the  requirements  of skilled manpower    for industry.

Modular Employable Skill (SDIS)

The objective of the scheme are:
to provide vocational training to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates, etc. to improve their employability by optimally utilizing the infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and the Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.
to build capacity in the area of development of competency standards, course curricula, learning material and assessment standards in the country.
ITI s /ITCs have been designated as VTP (Vocational Training Providers)

The VTPs is registered by DGE&T, New Delhi

Hunar Se Rozgar Tak

The scheme is for capacity building sponsored by the Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Govt. of India through Department of Tourism Govt. of HP for Driving Skill at Govt. ITI Shimla.
This Scheme is for Unemployed Youth who are Below Poverty Line.
The size of each batch is 25 Nos. candidates & duration of Driving Skill Training is 45 days.
During this period of training 3 days training on etiquettes will be given to the trainee by the staff of Institute of Hotel Management, Kufari, Shimla.
This is Free of Cost Training. No training expenses will be charged from the trainees.
Uniform of worth Rs. 750/- will be given to 5 best Trainees of each batch.
Certification will given jointly by ITI & Institute of Hotel management Kufari
